It wasn't the easiest ride,
bumpy and swirly,
a twisty and a twirly,
had to take it all
in my stride.
The wait was long, the path arduous
the days each came anew
and the toll imprinted on every sinew.
For what would come
I was curious.
My windfall,
Manna from heaven,
good fortune in my lap had fallen.
A happier day
I can't recall.
The bundle of joy
toppled my world;
such happiness had it unfurled.
Words I have none, 'cept
to have you, little one,
blessed am I.
All the care, cuddling and mollycoddling that went into the making of my three-year old brat

Welcome all :)
Hi all,
I wonder why I didn't do this much earlier. It has taken almost three years for me to gather my strength, recall those moments and put pen to paper (in this case, finger to keyboard). I am sure every mother would have reams to write about and share when it comes to her "little one". I do too.
Firstly, allow me to present to you my not-even-three-feet, almost-three-year-old son.
An ardent fan of Superman, like the Big B, he can talk superman, walk superman, eat, sleep, dream and everything. With the swish of his hand and "whoosh" on his lips, he soars in the blue skies and lives a life that only kids can live. At times, I wonder if he has a Lois Lane in mind too ;) You never know, kids are pretty fast these days.
Currently, his favourite grub is pasta. He loves the outdoors 24x7. And the one thing that he would want is for his "appa" to leave everything and spend all his time with him, exclusively.
There's more to know about him and you will... by and by.
I wouldn't go all mushy and say he is the apple of my eye. But a fact I can't evade is that he is The only person who could turn my life upside down. Until his birth, life had been peaceful with its fair share of ups and downs. But the day he arrived and ever since, I have felt the way I have never felt ever before. How can one be happy and angry, joyful and worrying, crying and smiling (and so forth) all at the same time? Many would agree, one's child could do that to you.
So read on...
Don't forget to write in.
Toodles,
Josh/Jyo
